Help!

How do you get two babies to sleep for more than 3-4 hours at a time! Mick and Mack wake up every 3-4 hours to feed and Gigi and I are EXHAUSTED!

We've tried adding cereal to their formula.

We've tried rocking them.

We've tried everything we can think of to no avail.

The boys consistently wake up with their mouths open and yelling at the top of their lungs for food. I knew growing boys had hollow legs but who knew newborn babies did too!

Anyone got any advice? *said in a really pitiful voice*

A couple of shots of whiskey? It's your choice whether you and Gigi have them or you feed them to the boys. (please don't sent the un-PC police after me)

I'm thinking a shot sounds pretty damn good right now! LOL

Unfortunately, it's really hard to get 2 kids to sleep at the same time. One disturbs the other. You could try putting them in different beds/rooms, but they might cry about that too because they have always had each other for comfort. I know you must be exhausted, but they should be sleeping better by the time they are 2-3 months old. That newborn period is the very hardest! Have you considered that they might not be crying from hunger, but for some other reason? If you get to the place where you feel like you might hurt them because you are so tired and they are still crying, just make sure they are clean and dry, then let them cry for about 20 minutes while you have a cup of tea or do something soothing. After that time, check on them again. I sympathize so much, Pixie. Some babies are just fussier than others and having 2 at the same time is a real challenge.

Forget the shot of whiskey for the babies...try a shot for Mom and Grandma.

Maybe Mom and Grandma take turns for a night...one stay up one night, and the other the next?

And try running a fan or some other 'white' noise to help soothe the babies. You can find those sounds on iserenity.com Maybe it can help add a few more precious minutes to the sleep cycle.

I can't help you... I believe I have mentioned before that my kids didn't like sleeping. Darling daughter was up every 3 hours - round the clock to eat. Odd that she never seemed to gain much weight. She's still tiny (size wise) and she still eats about every 3-4 hours... heh.
