Baby 2006
In less than 48 hours I'm gonna be pregnant.
Yep, the transfer is at 10am Saturday morning. And as far as I'm concerned I'm pregnant until the test says otherwise.
It's been an interesting journey but definitely worth it.
6 weeks and 15 lbs later of birth control pill...ok 20 lbs actually.
4 weeks of subcutaneous abdominal lupron shots to prevent ovulation.
2 weeks of 2x estrogen patches every 2 days...hormones anyone?
It's amazing I've kept my cool.
1 week of 22 1/2 gauge needle 2 1/2" long in the gluteus maximus every day filled with 1cc of progesterone in oil.
These shots continue throughout the first trimester to help prevent miscarriage and keep the uterine lining up and something else but I don't remember right now.
This is gonna be a lucky baby. He/she already has 10 aunties out there who are having a blast doling out advice to mama-to-be...lots of advice about veggies and names...
Speaking of names. I like-
Boy- Aidan Connor
Girl- Dakota Rayne or Dakota Leigh
Now the aunties are proposing lots of different names filled with Barbara's, Sue's, Pixie's, etc.
Here I'll let them tell you themselves...
Oh Aunties?

Congratulations! I hope everything turns out just the way you want it to go. At least you'll be back stateside before you deliver and closer to your Mom. Is this the "man in a can" thing you were looking into before?
It's safe to say that the Pixette isn't going to be named after this auntie's pseudonym. Can you just imagine "Mathy" as a name? LOL Although I'm still thinkin' that Nellie Sue....um....nevermind.
Of course there have been alot of ideas, starting with something with a little southern flavor like
Barabra Sue
Jacqui Sue
Nellie Sue
Terri Sue
Cara Sue
Margo Sue
Miriam Sue
Maggie Sue
Joey Sue
Lonnie Sue
Kiri Sue
or Barbara Nell Sue etc
but Barbara thought no child would want to be saddled with one of those names and made some other sugguestions
For a boy I thought
Matthew (a recent sexiest man alive and crush of a certain Pixie I know), Lawe, Donovan or Viggo (okay so that's my crush).
Sign me Sue Sue.
heh - it took me over 6 months to name my blog. It took all nine months each time to name my kids. I got nuthin'...
*grin*
And why does Auntie Mathgeek keep saying "Nellie Sue"
"um...nevermind"?
I'd like to know the answer to that question myself...
I remember what you USED to say you were gonna name a baby, do you??? But I wont hold you to it cuz u gotta name it your choice! As long as I am Gigi, I dont care.
Love you,
Mama
Nell, you wouldn't REALLY do that to me would you?
Here's a site that you might like, Pixiebelle...to help you figure out which names to AVOID:
NotWithoutMyHandbag.com
Although I *hated* my first name as a kid, like you, I've grown to appreciate it more now. As long as you don't call me Marion or MaryAnne. YIKES!!
Mirmie
Hwy! At least I'm not suggesting Euler or Gauss for a boy. *grin*
There's always this site that one of the Aunties emailed a while back..http://www.behindthename.com/
I like traditional names...
no stripper or porn names.
Also ask a school teacher what the most popular names are...you do not want to name a kid taylor, when there are 20 other Taylors in class....
You may have some fun with the NameVoyager. They have compiled the names from babies born in the United States, as reported by the Social Security Administration.
Congratulations
